QUARANTINE EXPORT INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS.

The Australian Government, through its Quarantine Inspection Service requires that all horticultural products exported out of 
Australia be inspected, for pests, disease and residues, etc. on behalf of the importing country, and in compliance with agreed 
standards, or Protocols. Upon inspection a certificate of inspection is usually required, to be sent with other paper work to the
 importer in the foreign country.

This is referred to as a PHYTOSANITARY CERTIFICATE. or CERTIFICATE OF CONDITION.

Useful information can be gained about particular Asian markets, through AHEA Overseas Market Reports…weekly available 
to AHEA members, which advises of wholesale prices, stock movement, competition, and demand for horticultural products, in 
particular  Asian Markets.

In addition AHEA provides various export statistics indicating exports of nominated products to specific Asian Markets. 
The Australian Government provides further valuable information at various sites including the website listed below.

publications, and videos for purchase. Markets include China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia,
